Through QuikOrder.com, a National Systems business partner, TMS® users can easily take Internet orders directly into their store systems.
QuikOrder® is a service that allows consumers to order home delivery or takeout meals through the Internet from participating restaurants. The order is placed through the QuikOrder.com web site and then transmitted via modem (generally within minutes) to the restaurant. The order is then seamlessly entered directly in the TMS point-of-sale system. Other than a note indicating it was entered as a web-based order, the order appears as if it was entered directly by a TSR.
With QuikOrder, both consumers and restaurants can be assured of the highest level of service, reliability and convenience available.
QuikOrder was developed for restaurant chains with strong home delivery and takeout businesses. The first customers were a group of Domino's® Pizza stores in San Diego, California, which began using the system in March 1999. By November more than 100 corporate and franchise-owned Domino's® stores throughout the U.S. were taking orders via QuikOrder.
QuikOrder's principal advantage is speed and flexibility. After a consumer enters an order, it is sent to the fulfilling restaurant within minutes. QuikOrder is currently free to consumers. Participating restaurants are charged a fixed fee plus a fee based on the number of orders placed using the service.
QuikOrder is extremely easy for restaurants to set up. Using select point of sales systems, such as TMS, a restaurant can have an Internet ordering web site literally minutes after signing up for QuikOrder.com.
QuikOrder offers both consumers and restaurant owners many advantages over alternatives. Restaurants can present customers with menu contents that are easily customized for each restaurant location. Each item or special can be tailored to local markets to maximize their effectiveness. Specials can be marketed consistently to consumers, and quickly changed.
QuikOrder can accept either online or traditional coupons. Orders placed on QuikOrder reduce the in-store labor required for order taking. QuikOrder helps reduce the costs and customer complaints associated with inaccurate orders. QuikOrder allows restaurant chains to implement consistent promotion and advertising for all stores.
Consumers appreciate QuikOrder because they can order what they want and can set desired delivery or pick up times for when they want it. The system confirms via e-mail that the order has been received at the store. Estimated delivery times are also provided. QuikOrder also "remembers" consumers' orders, which allows for convenient order recall and faster ordering on subsequent orders.
QuikOrder.com was created by QuikOrder, Inc., a privately held company headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. QuikOrder's owners and associates collectively have over 100 years of experience in developing point of sale and marketing systems for the food industry.
